Unable to upgrade to Cloud Director 10.4.X

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• When running the vamicli update --install latest you get the following error

Failure: Error while running installation tests and post-install scripts

• From the /opt/vmware/var/log/vami/updatecli.log:

error: Failed dependencies:

       python3 = 3.6.9-10.ph2 is needed by (installed) python3-tools-3.6.9-10.ph2.x86_64

       /usr/bin/python3.6 is needed by (installed) python3-tools-3.6.9-10.ph2.x86_64

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Cause

This issue occurs due to the already installed python packages. 

Resolution

To resolve this issue, remove the package python3-tools-3.6.9-10.ph2.x86_64 by the below command:
 

rpm -e python3-tools-3.6.9-10.ph2.x86_64

After removing this package, please try the upgrade again.
