This issue will be resolved in future versions of Cloud Director.
Workaround:
To workaround the issue, rename both the vApp Template name and Application Image name in two steps.
For example:
- Open the Cloud Director Tenant Portal.
- Navigate to Content Hub and click vApp Templates.
- Click the vApp Template that needs to be renamed.
- Click General and click Edit.
- Change the vApp Template Name to the new value and click Save.
- Go back to the vApp Templates page.
- Click on the Application Name for the vApp Template that has been already renamed and click Edit.
- Change the Application Image Name to the new value and click Save.
- Confirm both the vApp Template and the associated Application Image name have been changed correctly.
