VMware Remote Console not displaying virtual machine names when opening consoles with VMRC version 12.0.3 in Cloud Director

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• Launching Remote Consoles for VMs from the Cloud Director UI with VMware Remote Console (VMRC) version 12.0.3 or newer.
• Virtual machine names are not displayed in the title bar of the VMRC window.
• VMware Remote Console 12.0.3 Release Notes Resolved Issues includes "VM name is blank on VMRC console when connected to the VM on VMware Cloud Director" but the issue persists.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Cause

To be able to see the virtual machine name when opening VMware Remote Consoles (VMRC) consoles, both VMware Remote Console version 12.0.3 and VMware Cloud Director version 10.4.2 or above are required.

Resolution

Upgrade both the VMware Remote Console version to 12.0.3 and the VMware Cloud Director version to 10.4.2 or above to resolve the issue.
