ESXi Host with Lockdown Mode Enabled shown as not ready on the host preparation Tab

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• ESXi Hosts on version 6.0.0 3620759 (P2) with lock down mode enabled shown as not ready on the Host Preparation Tab.
   
• While deploying Guest introspection on the Hosts, you see an error similar to:
  Host needs to be put in maintenance mode to complete VIB installations.
   
• Entering the host in maintenance mode does not solve the issue.
   
• After reboot, the host will be removed from the lockdown mode and under the host preparation tab, you see an error similar to:
  "Not Ready: agent VIB cannot be detected on the host...."
   
• All the required VIBs are installed on the Hosts.

Environment

VMware NSX for vSphere 6.2.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.3.x
VMware vSphere ESXi 6.0

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting ESXi version 6.0.0 3620759 (P2).

To resolve this issue, upgrade the ESXi version to 6.0.0 4600944 (P4).

To workaround this issue, turn off the lockdown mode prior to host preparation.
