Error “Failed to send http data” while installing vRealize Easy Installer

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
In the Installer.logs, you see a message similar to:

Failed to send http data

OVF task in vCenter gets canceled by user within seconds.

Environment

VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.x

Cause

This issue is caused due to the name resolution of the ESXi servers.

Resolution

This a known issue.

Currently, there is no resolution.

Workaround:
To workaround this issue, on the system running the easy installer, Add DNS FQDN entries of the target vCenter Server and all ESXi servers in the cluster which will be used for the deployment to the system hosts file. 

Note: Only the hosts in the cluster and vCenter, sometimes referred to the management vCenter and cluster, that the OVF will be deployed to need to be added.

For Windows:

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts.

For Linux and Mac:  /etc/hosts.
