Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

vSAN File Service Node Virtual machine running on snapshots.

Environment

VMware vSAN 8.0

VMware vSAN 7.0

 

Resolution

You can delete a snapshot when you no longer need it.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the vSAN cluster and click Configure > vSAN > File Service Shares.
  2. A list of vSAN file shares appears.
  3. Select a file share and click SNAPSHOTS.
  4. A list of snapshots of that belongs to the file share you have selected appears.
  5. Select the snapshot that you want to delete and click DELETE.
