Issue/Introduction

This happens if you select an incorrect object type in the "Select an Object" window pane during the configuration of a scheduled report or while manually generating a report.

Aria Operations 8.x

Resolution

To resolve this issue, check the views used in the report and ensure you select the correct object type when scheduling or generating the report.
 
Example:
  • For any existing report, which uses replication-type objects in the views & if you select "All Objects" -> "vCenter" in the "Select an Object" window pane, it is errors "The Selected Object is not applicable."
  • This issue can be resolved by selecting the appropriate object type, such as "vSphere Replication Adapter" -> "Replication vCenter Server," when scheduling or generating the report.
