SNMP service is stopped after NSX-T Manager upgrade

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
Prior to NSX-T Manager upgrade "Start on boot" is set to True.

> get service snmp
   Service name: snmp
   Service state: running
   Start on boot: True

Post NSX-T Manager upgrade "Start on boot" is set to False and the service is stopped.

> get service snmp
   Service name: snmp
   Service state: stopped
   Start on boot: False

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware NSX-T Data Center 2.4, available at VMware Downloads.

Workaround:
To workaround this issue, after the NSX-T Manager upgrade completes run the following commands to start the service and set the start on boot flag back to true.

#start service snmp
#set service snmp start-on-boot
