Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
Load Balancer (LB) icon in the EPCT User Interface (UI) is missing.

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center 2.x
VMware NSX-T Data Center

Cause

This issue occurs because the EPCT Data Server doesn not support IP range as input for IP List of Load Balancer (LB) Source Network Address Translation (SNAT) configuration. Therefore, when the user configured the SNAT IP List with an IP range, the user cannot see any NSX LB icon in any view from the UI side.

The issue is specific to the Load Balancer (LB) Source Network Address Translation (SNAT) mode in use. The LB SNAT can be configured as one of the three modes - Transparent, Automap, and IP List.
The issue is observed only if the LB is configured in IP List mode and the IP list is specified as an IP range. EPCT supports the case that the IP List is specified as a list (192.168.1.10, 192.168.1.11..). EPCT does not support the case that the IP list is configured with a range (192.168.1.10-192.168.1.20).

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware NSX-T Data Center 2.4, available at VMware Downloads.

Workaround:
To work around this issue, specify the IP List as a list, and not as a range.

Note: IP List specified as a range on LB is unsupported.
