Issue/Introduction

This article provides instruction to change the Activation Mode from SaaS to Standalone within Telco Cloud Automation (TCA).

Symptoms:
The Standalone mode of activation is the recommended mode irrespective of air-gapped or non-air-gapped environment.
The SaaS mode of activation is deprecated and will be removed in future releases (3.x +).

Resolution

  1. Click the Configuration tab under the Infrastructure Automation.
  2. Click Global Settings.
  3. To modify the global parameters, click Edit.
  4. Select the Activation Mode.

Standalone mode of activation is the recommended mode irrespective of air-gapped or non-air-gapped environment. The SaaS mode of activation is deprecated and will be removed in future releases.

Additional Information

Impact/Risks:
  • The switch from SaaS to Standalone will occur within seconds.
  • There should not be any type of service interruption, however, we do recommend this procedure be performed during environmental downtime.
  • There is no need to update licensing for this change.
