Datacom DATACOM - AD Ideal

Issue/Introduction

Question:

If I BTG a database definition, make some changes to the non-keyed fields nor make any changes to the length of the record or the element that the fields are in, once I copy it to PROD status and ENABLE it, do I need to catalog the dataview in CA Ideal?

Environment:

z/OS, z/VSE

Answer:

The BTG job catalogs the dataview to the directory (CXX) with the 1000 CATALOG transaction but if you do not change the length of a record or the element that the fields are in, you do not need to re catalog the dataview in CA Ideal.
