"Error while doing IP configuration" when deploying NSX Service

Issue/Introduction

NSX Server deployment issue is resolved in NSX for vSphere 6.2.4.

Symptoms:

• NSX Service Deployment is in a Failed state
• In the Service Deployment extended status, you see the error:
  
  Error while doing IP configuration
  
  Note: For additional symptoms and log entries, see the Additional Information section.

Environment

VMware NSX for vSphere 6.2.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.1.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.0.x

Cause

This issue occurs when the IP address is not published to the vApp Properties.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware NSX for vSphere 6.2.4.

To check if the third-party Endpoint services are functional:

1. Click Host and Clusters.
2. Select a host or cluster.
3. Click the Monitor tab.
4. Select Guest Introspection. If all records displayed are in info state, the Guest Introspection services are operational.

To work around this issue if you do not want to upgrade, assign an IP address to the affected SVM manually.

Notes:

• The Service Deployment page continue to show a Failed error. However, functionality should be not impacted.
• If you have a requirement to clear the Failed installation status in the UI, contact VMware Support and note this Knowledge Base article ID (2145376) in the problem description. 

Additional Information

You experience these additional symptoms:

• The Reconfigure virtual machine task is triggered by resolving errors and you see a message similar to:
  
  Reconfigure virtual machine
  Service VM Name
  A specified parameter is not correct. property.info.key[28]
  
  SERVICE-NT\svc_nsx
  VC1.vsphere.local
   
• In the vsm.log file, you see entries similar to:
