vRealize Business for Cloud reverts to localhost.localdom when connections are attempted

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
When you try to access vRealize Business for Cloud using https://<vRBC FQDN or IP address>/itfm-cloud, it is redirecting to https://localhost.localdom/itfm-cloud.

Environment

VMware vRealize Business for Cloud Advanced 7.x

Cause

This issue might occur due to one of these reasons:

• vRealize Business for Cloud does not have the information set in the VAMI (https://<vRBC IP>:5480) for networking and the certificate.
• At the time of registration to Identity Manager or vRealize Automation, the hostname or certificate were not setup.

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

1. Verify the network settings and hostname of vRealize Business for Cloud.
2. Verify the certificate is correct for vRealize Business for Cloud.
3. Unregister vRealize Business for Cloud from Identity Manager or vRealize Automation.
4. Re-register vRealize Business for Cloud from Identity Manager or vRealize Automation.
