Issue/Introduction
Symptoms:
VMware vCloud Usage Meter fails to collect usage data from a product already added for metering.
Environment
VMware vCloud Usage Meter 4.x
VCF usage meter 9.0
Resolution
To resolve this issue - review, validate, and troubleshoot the following:
- Find more information in the logs for the product in the following directory of the Usage Meter appliance: /opt/vmware/cloudusagemetering/platform/log.
- Verify if the product version is supported in the Product Interoperability Matrix.
- Double-check if the hostname or IP address and port of the metered product are correct.
- As a final option, reboot the Usage Meter appliance by entering the following command in the Usage Meter (Web or Remote) Console as root:
reboot
Additional Information
Collection error due to the hostname being in uppercase, refer to the kb below:
Failing to login to VCF Usage Meter 9.0 with error "Server error. HTTP status code: 400 [invalid_request] OAuth 2.0 Parameter: redirect_uri".
