Changing storage policy on catalog does not trigger migration of catalog items to new storage policy in vCloud Director 9.x

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• New storage policy is applied to the Catalog after changing to storage policy in vCloud Director portal.
• vCenter will still show the old storage policy for the catalog items like vapp template.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director for Service Provider 9.x

Resolution

This is a known issue in 9.7 and this feature is deprecated in vCloud Director 10.x releases. Changing storage policy will no longer migrate the catalog items to new storage policy.

Workaround:

• Create a new catalog on the new storage policy and move the catalog items to new catalog.
