"Host connection and power state" and "Host connection failure" alarms trigger at static intervals

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
These alarms trigger at static intervals:

• Host connection and power state
• Host connection failure

Note: Hosts do not disconnect from vCenter Server when an alarm triggers.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 4.1.x
VMware vCenter Server 4.0.x
VMware vCenter Server 5.0.x

Resolution

To work around this issue, ensure that all times are synchronized between all hosts and vCenter Server.
