Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

From version ESXi 7.0 U1 or later, when configuring more than 3 mirroring destination IPs in "Encapsulated Remote Mirroring (L3) Source" Port mirroring session, some of the destination IPs will not receive mirrored packets.

 

 

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi 7.0.1
VMware vSphere ESXi 7.0.2
VMware vSphere ESXi 7.0.3

Cause

The maximum number of destination IPs that can be configured in one session is 3.

Resolution

This is expected behavior of VMware vSphere ESXi 7.0 U1 or later.
