Flood of GM to LM Synchronization Warning Alarms

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• NSX-T 3.x Federation environment
• NSX Global Manager (GM) is on Version 3.1.X
• NSX Local Manager (LM) is on Version 3.2.X
• A massive number of GM to LM Synchronization Warning Alarms are generated but are resolved automatically within a few seconds

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center
VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.x

Cause

In Async Replicator service, GM and LM exchange MessageId for removal of messages from queue. MessageId format has changed from >3.1.X to 3.2.X causing the messages to be queued and not removed. This triggers unnecessary Full Sync activities between GM and LM whenever the message queue becomes full.

Resolution

This is a known issue, currently there is no resolution.

Workaround:
The issue will be resolved once the GM upgrade to 3.2.x is completed.
