SDDC Manager UI navigation menu displays "@@" for each navigation element.

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• When opening the SDDC Manager UI, the navigation menu displays "@@" before and after each word. 

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 3.7.x
VMware Cloud Foundation 3.8.x

Cause

This problem occurs if the browser locale is set to a non-English language. 

Resolution

This is a known issue, to workaround this problem please use the following steps below for the the browser version affected.

Chrome:

1. Open Chrome browser settings by clicking on the 3 dots icon in the upper right corner and selecting Settings.
2. Scroll to the Language section and open the drop down.
3. Make sure English is on the top, and in the order of preferences English is listed on top. If not, click on the three dots on the right, and move it on the very top.
4. Exit the settings page and refresh SDDC Manager UI tab.

Firefox

1. On the upper right corner, click on 3 lines icon and select Preferences.
2. In the search bar type language to bring up the Language section.
3. If there are multiple languages listed, click the Choose button to open the Webpage Language Setting window.
4. Reset the order to have English on the top and click OK. 
5. Exit the settings page and refresh SDDC Manager UI tab.

Internet Explorer 11

1. Open IE 11 on your computer.
2. Click the Gear icon, located in the upper right corner of the browser window and select Internet Options.
3. Click the General tab if it is not already selected.
4. Click the button labeled Languages in the Appearance section at the bottom of the tab. In the Language Preference window, click the Set Language Preferences button.
5. To choose a language to add, click Add a drop-down.
6. Scroll through the list and select English. Click Add.
7. By default, English that you added displays last in order of preference. Change the order by using the Move Up and Move Down buttons so that English is top of the list.
8. Refresh SDDC Manager UI .
