Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • When deploying VMware Cloud Foundation 3.9.1, bringup fails with NSX_EDGE_VALIDATE_BGP_ROUTING_FAILED.
  • The BGP Autonomous System Number set in the Parameter Sheet is a value greater than 65535 (16 bit).


Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 3.9.x

Cause

Currently, VMware Cloud Foundation Cloud Builder doesn't support 32-bit BGP ASN values.

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting VMware Cloud Foundation 3.9.1 and earlier. This issue will be resolved a future release

Workaround:
A patch has been made available for VMware Cloud Foundation 3.9.1. Previous versions are not supported.
