When SDDC Manager VM deployment task fails and an orphan VM gets created.

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• SDDC Manager VM deployment task has failed and there is an orphan SDDC Manager VM created.
• The orphaned VM is visible in the vCenter Web Client.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 4.0.x

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting VMware Cloud Foundation 4.0.x

Workaround:
Log into vCenter Web Client and delete the orphaned SDDC Manager VM, then retry the task.

If the task is retried before removed the orphaned VM, another task may fail later due to this additional VM. Similarly, log into vCenter Web Client and delete the orphaned SDDC Manager VM, then retry the task.
