Issue/Introduction
Symptoms: After configuring custom certificates, you experience these symptoms:
In the /home/vrack/vrm/logs/evosddc-debug.log file, you see entries similar to:
Caused by: com.vmware.vim.vmomi.client.exception.SslException: com.vmware.vim.vmomi.core.exception.CertificateValidationException: Server certificate chain not verified
Environment
VMware Cloud Foundation 2.1.x
Cause
The issue occurs because the SDDC Manager processes running on the VRM virtual machine cannot successfully connect to other components of the VMware Cloud Foundation environment as the expected certificate does not match the actual certificate.
Resolution
The issue is resolved in version 2.2.x, avialable at VMware Downloads.
