Automated Discovery using native APIs of your VCF environment (workload and management domains)
Automatic configuration of File-Based Backups of NSX Manager, SDDC Manager, and vCenter, including schedules, retention, and on-demand backups (where supported).
Automatic configuration of image-based backups as needed by the respective VCF components

The script to perform the VCF configuration can be found in the following location in PowerProtect Data Manager server. Please follow the below steps to run the script.
- Login to the PowerProtect Data Manager CLI console using admin or equivalent user account
- Go to the following location “/usr/local/brs/lib/sysmgr/bin”
- Run the script ppdm-vcf-component-protection.sh to start configuring the VCF components protection.
Solution Components
Dell EMC PowerProtect solution for VCF uses the following components:
- VMware VCF 4.0 or higher
- VMware vCenter 7.0 or higher
- VMware vSAN 7.0 or higher
