The SoS command hangs intermittently on an SSH session to the SDDC Manager VM

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• The SoS process does not return in the console even after an abnormal amount of time.

Cause

In some scenarios this may be due to garbage collection and cleanup process that leads to a deadlock among resources.

Resolution

This is a known issue affect VMware Cloud Foundation 3.x and 4.x, it is now fixed in VMware Cloud Foundation 4.0.1

Workaround:
To workaround this issue, simply press CTRL + C to terminate the command or kill the process.
