Issue/Introduction

  • The SDDC manager CSR does not include a subjectAlternativeName.
  • Most modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, etc) require a subjectAlternativeName in the certificate or it will display the site as insecure. 


Resolution

This is a known issue and is fixed in VCF 3.8.1. 

Should there be a requirement to have a SAN in the certificate for the SDDC Manager, please upgrade to VCF 3.8.1.
