Issue/Introduction

This article explains the procedure to be followed to RMA reactivate an Edge.

Environment

VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud

Resolution

To perform an RMA reactivation, perform the following steps in the Orchestrator:

1. Go to Configure -> Edges.
2. Select the Edge and go to the Edge Overview screen.
3. Expand the RMA Reactivation section at the bottom of the screen.
4. Click the Request Reactivation button (generate a new activation key if needed). This will put the edge in Reactivation Pending mode.
5. Click the Send Activation Email button.
6. Disconnect the old edge from power and network.
7. Connect the new edge to power and network.
8. Activate using the new activation link that you received in your email.
