VMs removed from Protection Groups still appear in the VM inventory in VMware Live Cyber Recovery.

Issue/Introduction

Virtual Machines may appear in the Virtual Machine inventory in the VLCR UI, although they have been removed from all Protection Groups.

Environment

VMware Live Cyber Recovery 7.27.x

VMware Live Cyber Recovery 7.26.x

Cause

This cosmetic issue can be caused if the associated VMs were part of a failover test which generates ad-hoc snapshots. Until these snapshots are deleted, the VMs will remain in the inventory within the UI.

Resolution

Create a support case with VMware by Broadcom to have the ad-hoc snapshots deleted.
The following information will be needed:

• Org ID
• Recovery SDDC ID (if applicable)
• Impacted VM name(s)
• Protection Group that the VM(s) were removed from (if applicable)
