Constant rate network traffic between VMware Live Cyber Recovery connector appliance and vCenter server

Issue/Introduction

Network traffic monitoring may show communication between VLCR connector appliance and vCenter is producing regular traffic of 20 MB per minute. This may raise concerns whether this is expected behavior or if this traffic can be reduced.

Environment

VMware Live Cyber Recovery 7.26.x and older. 

Cause

This is caused by a combination of getTagAssociation and non-tag vCenter inventory pull collection that happens every minute. Hence, 20 Mb per minute traffic between vCenter and Connector(s) is expected.

Resolution

As this is expected behavior in the current VLCR version (7.26.x and earlier) and there is no resolution.
