Aria Operations Scheduled Reports are sometimes blank

Issue/Introduction

• Aria Operations Scheduled reports in PDF or other format sometimes show as blank. When downloading the same report, it shows similar to:
  
  
  
• Generating a report manually shows the data 

Environment

VMware Aria Operations 8.12.x
VMware Aria Operations 8.14.x

Cause

Multiple reports are scheduled to run at the same time, causing a processing bottleneck that leads to the report not being populated with data.

Resolution

To resolve the issue with scheduled reports returning no information, we recommend: 

1. Check sizing guidelines:  VMware Aria Operations Sizing Guidelines 
2. Verify the schedule in Aria Operations and ensure that multiple reports are not running simultaneously
3. Spread the report schedule to run a few minutes apart, specially for report that require multiple data objects.
4. Check the view-bridge.log (for indication of errors in the collection process)
5. Consider upgrading Aria Operations to 8.18.2
