Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

In the vCenter linking tab of the SDDC grouping, vCenters of the SDDC show as 'Failed" with the following error:

Error: 500 Internal Server Error: "{"type":"com.vmware.vapi.std.errors.internal_server_error","value":{"error_type":"INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR","messages":[

{"args":["com.vmware.vapi.std.errors.InternalServerError"],"default_message":"Provider method implementation threw unexpected exception: com.vmware.vapi.std.errors.InternalServerError","id":"vapi.bindings.method.impl.unexpected"}

,{"args":["Service Unavailable: Session count exceeded"],"default_message":"Provider method implementation threw unexpected exception: Service Unavailable: Session count exceeded","id":"vapi.bindings.method.impl.unexpected"}]}}"

Cause

This is caused due to discrepancy in the max session limit per user between vapi-endpoint and HVC service.

Resolution

VMware is aware of this issue and are working on increasing the max session limit per user in a future release of HLM.  Please raise a Support Request with VMware to have the HVC services restarted in the SDDCs that are having their vCenters linked.
