Discovery error in Smarts due to no loopback address being configured on the device

Error: Qualified Access Address Not Found

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

The AccessAddressFormat parameter in the discovery.conf file is set to LOOPBACKADDRESS and no loopback interface is configured on the device.

Resolution

Review the mibwalk of the device.  At least one interface on the device must be a loopback interface.  If no loopback is configured, then you should consider changing the parameter for the AccessAddressFormat to AutoAddress.
