Issue/Introduction

Is the sm_tpmgr --sizes command output accurate when there are proxy devices in Smarts IP Availability and Performance Manager (Smarts APM) Topology from the TSM (Topology Split Manager)?

Environment

Smarts - 10.1.x

TCSA - 2.x

Smarts-DM - 2.x

Resolution

Yes, the output of the sm_tpmgr --sizes command is correct. A proxy device does not actually consume less resources than a regular one. The remote repository subscriptions are roughly equal to the administrative cost associated with a normal component.

Additional Information

A proxy device is a device that is in more than one IP domain and that has been seeded to the IP Domain from the Smarts TSM.
