Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:




Remote server unavailible error message results when adapter starts and Smarts AM server not running
Error Message: ASL-W-While executing rule set '../Custom/remedy/rules/OVnotify.asl'  ASL-While executing action for rule 'GET_NAME'  ASL-While attempting to check existence of object 'ICIM_ObjectFactory::ICIM-ObjectFactory'  SVIF-Remote server is unavailable

Environment

VMware Smart Assurance - SMARTS

Cause

When the adapter attempted to start up, the AM Server was not yet registered with the broker.

Resolution

Start the adapter after the Availability Manager is running and registered with the broker.
