Monitor topology changes with the IP Domain Manager

Issue/Introduction

To monitor topology changes within the Smarts IP Domain Manager, you must connect an adapter which subscribes to the Smarts IP server.

Environment

All Supported Smarts Releases

Resolution

This adapter will output all topology changes to a log file.

To start the adapter:

<BASEDIR>/IP/smarts/bin/sm_adapter -s <server_name> --subscribe=topology --output=<logfile>

• This command will attach the sm_adapter to the specified server. 
• The logfile specified will be located in the <BASEDIR>/IP/smarts/local/logs directory.
