VMware NSX Networking

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
You are configuring VXLAN network by HTML5 UI of NSX 6.4.1, NSX 6.4.2, or NSX 6.4.3.
VXLAN is configured on vSwitch that is not chosen in the "Configure VXLAN Networking" wizard.

Even if you unconfigure VXLAN and configure VXLAN again, the issue persists and VXLAN is configured on a wrong vSwitch.

Environment

VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.x

Cause

This is a UI issue caused by clicking "NEW IP POOL" in the "Configure VXLAN Networking" wizard.
After clicking "NEW IP POOL", VXLAN is configured on a fixed vSwitch no matter what you choose.

Resolution

This issue is planned to be fixed in future release.

Workaround:
Reloading the page is a workaround after you see the issue.
After reloading the page, configure VXLAN without clicking "NEW IP POOL" in the "Configure VXLAN Networking" wizard.

Before you see the issue, do not click "NEW IP POOL" in the "Configure VXLAN Networking" wizard.
You can create an IP Pool in Networking & Security > Groups and Tags and choose it.
