Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
  • vCenter Server High Availability (VCHA) cluster configuration fails.
  • You see the error:
Failed to connect peer node.


Environment

VMware vCenter Server Appliance 6.5.x
VMware vCenter Server Appliance 6.7.x
VMware vCenter Server 7.0.x

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting VMware vSphere 6.5.x, 6.7.x, and 7.x.

Currently, there is no resolution.

Workaround:
To work around this issue, setup VCHA on a vDS portgroup.

Additional Information

Impact/Risks:
NSX-T logical switch cannot be used as the network to configure VCHA.
