Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:
The Usage Meter Products page shows invalid credentials status for a vROps instance that is no longer monitoring a vCenter Server added to Usage Meter. This vROps instance is still discovered by Usage Meter even it is no longer monitoring the vCenter Server added to Usage Meter.

Environment

VMware vCloud Usage Meter 4.x

Cause

The vROps extension still exists in the vCenter Extension Manager.

Resolution

Procedure

To resolve this issue, do the following:
  1. Remove the vROps extension from the vCenter Extension Manager. Follow the steps in this KB article: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1025360.
  2. Go to the Usage Meter Products tab.
  3. Click vCenter/VMware Cloud Foundation.
  4. Go to the vCenter Server, which is monitored by the affected vROps.
  5. Click Edit.
  6. Enter the vCenter Server credentials and click Save. The vCenter Server data will now be refreshed in the Usage Meter instance. As a result, the affected vROps will not appear under the vRealize Operations tab.
