VMware NSX manager report IDPS Application Crashed when under heavy load

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• You are running VMware NSX version less than 4.1.1.
• The VMware NSX UI may report IDPS application has crash on one or more NSX managers.
• One or more idps_oom.hprof file can be seen on one or more of the manager, as root at the following location:

/image/core/idps_oom.hprof

Environment

VMware NSX 4.x
VMware NSX-T Data Center
VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.x

Cause

The file /opt/vmware/idps-reporting/conf/ufo-factory.properties on the NSX Manager appliance is missing some Corfu properties that need to be added to avoid OutOfMemory issues on a high-load appliance.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware NSX 4.1.1
