Unassigned Tags Not Deleted Automatically in NSX-T

Issue/Introduction

• You have NSX-T 3.2.0 or 3.2.1 deployed.
• You have created tags that are not assigned to any VMs.
• The tags are not getting deleted after the expected 5 day period (Please see "Related Information" section for documentation reference).

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.x

Cause

Due to a change in the purge task that is scheduled once a day, it is possible to encounter a situation whereby the removal of tags that are not assigned to any object is not being carried out.

Resolution

This issue has been resolved in NSX-T 3.2.2. If you encounter this issue, please upgrade to NSX-T 3.2.2 or newer.
