Issue/Introduction
You're running NSX-T Data Center.
You've recently hardened the Bare metal server after it was prepared for NSX-T.
The applications hosted on the Bare metal server would not be accessible form NSX.
The file "/etc/vmware/nsx-bm/bms.conf" is not present in server.
If you run ls -l on the /tmp you will notice execute permission is not present on the directory.
Environment
VMware NSX-T Data Center
Cause
The Bare metal server was hardened, after it was prepared for NSX-T, which changed permissions on the /tmp directory.
Resolution
The /tmp directory has important executable scripts necessary for updating and creating segment ports on the bare metal server, disabling the execute permission to /tmp directory will cause the bms.conf file to be deleted.
