Error "Fatal Error: Out of resources" while installing ESXi 5.5.x, 6.0.x and 6.5.x

Issue/Introduction

ESXi 5.5.x, ESXi 6.0.x or ESXi 6.5.x installation might fail with Fatal Error: Out of resources error when there are a number of adapters that require Memory-mapped I/O space. Depending upon the number of adapters and the system configuration there may not be enough 32 bit memory (below 4GB) available to allocate to the adapters.

Resolution

To workaround this issue use the BIOS setup option to allocate the MMIO space required by adapters in the memory space above 4GB.
