Issue/Introduction

The Usage Meter web application shows an SRM collection error. The collection-vcenter-error.log shows the following error that shows the expiry date of the SRM certificate.

Environment

VCF Usage Meter 9.x

Cause

SRM certificate expired.

Resolution

To resolve the Usage Meter SRM collection error, do the following:
  • Take a snapshot of your SRM appliance.
  • Change the SRM appliance certificate. Follow the steps to change the site recovery manager appliance certificate.
  • In Usage Meter web application, select the vCenter server for which you receive an SRM collection error.
  • Click Edit, and then enter the vCenter credentials.
  • Click Save. Usage Meter will now refresh the vCenter Server data and start the collection.
