Proxy configuration in Usage Meter initialization wizard fails

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

Usage Meter initialization fails after proxy connection to Usage Insight is tried to be configured. The following error is received in the Usage Meter initialization wizard: Failed to authenticate with proxy.

The Usage Meter logs show the following error:

Environment

VMware vCloud Usage Meter 4.x

Resolution

This is a known issue in Usage Meter 4.3 and the fix is planned for Usage Meter 4.5.
