Cause

This issue occurs when the reinitialize connections to vCenter server is incorrectly established after the upgrade.

Resolution

To resolve the issue:

  1. Take a snapshot of the vRealize Business virtual machine.
  2. Delete the vCenter server from vRealize Business.
  3. Initiate Cost Calculation from the Status screen for the system to process unprocessed data due to the error and to refresh the system.

Note: Ensure that it completes by tailing /var/log/vrb/itfm-server/itfm-server.log file or when a pop-up appears on the UI saying Global synchronization is complete. Refresh the page to see the latest data. Click Yes on the pop-up screen.

  4. Refresh the page.
  5. Add the deleted vCenter server back to vRealize Business.

  7. Initiate Cost Calculation from the Status screen.

Note: Ensure that it completes by tailing /var/log/vrb/itfm-server/itfm-server.log or when a popup appears on the UI saying Global synchronization is complete. Refresh the page to see the latest data. Click Yes on the pop-up screen.
