Issue/Introduction

Photon has made changes to its default repository location from bintray.com to packages.vmware.com.

Environment

VMware Integrated OpenStack 6.x
VMware Integrated Openstack 7.x

Resolution

Photon has made changes to its default repository location from bintray.com to packages.vmware.com. Users can follow either of the following methods to adapt this change.

• Update photon-repos rpm to latest

tdnf update photon-repos

• Or edit the .repo files under /etc/yum.repos.d to point to packages.vmware.com

cd /etc/yum.repos.d

sed -i 's/dl.bintray.com\/vmware/packages.vmware.com\/photon\/$releasever/g' photon.repo photon-updates.repo photon-extras.repo photon-debuginfo.repo
