Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• "OpenStack admin password must contain at least 1 uppercase letter." error is shown even although admin password contains one and more uppercase characters in OpenStack deployment dialog.

Environment

VMware Integrated Openstack 7.x

Cause

If admin password contains some special characters that are NOT included in the matching rule, this error is shown in any case.

Resolution

'@', '!', '#, '$, '%, '^, '&, and '*' are the only permitted as special characters for admin password in VMware Integrated Openstack deployment.
