Prevent database partition that causes data loss

Issue/Introduction

• Running VIO 7.x
• Database is not currently partitioned as described in Database partition could result in data loss

Environment

Resolution

This issue is resolved in VMware Integrated Openstack 7.2.1, available via the Customer Support Portal.

Workaround:

For VIO prior to version 7.2

1. Copy file vio-patch-7.x-pr2946029.tgz  to vio-manager host      
2. mkdir vio-patch-7.x-pr2946029
3. tar -zxvf vio-patch-7.x-pr2946029.tgz -C vio-patch-7.x-pr2946029
4. cd vio-patch-7.x-pr2946029 and run ./install.sh

Note: If need to uninstall the patch, run ./uninstall.sh in folder vio-patch-7.x-pr2946029

For VIO version 7.2.x

1. Copy file vio-patch-7.2.x-pr2946029.tgz to vio-manager host
2. viocli oneoffpatch add -l vio-patch-7.2.x-pr2946029.tgz
3. Execute command viocli oneoffpatch install -p vio-patch-7.2.x-pr2946029

Note: If need to uninstall the patch, execute the command viocli oneoffpatch uninstall -p vio-patch-7.2.x-pr2946029.tgz
