HCX - Deploying HCX from the VMware Cloud on AWS Console

Issue/Introduction

VMware HCX is an add-on service to the VMware Cloud on AWS SDDC.
After activating the add-on from the VMware Cloud on AWS console, the HCX Cloud components are deployed.

To deploy HCX Cloud Manager, Refer vmc portal and go to Integrated Services >> Open HCX.



IMPORTANT: VMware HCX will always be highlighted as "Active" while clicking "Integrated Services" tab regardless of HCX Cloud Manager is deployed or undeployed.
Basically, it implies that VMware HCX subscription is Active for this given SDDC on VMConAWS and can be deployed if needed.

Steps to deploy HCX:

• Click on OPEN HCX
• The VMware HCX interface opens and redirects to HCX connect.hcx.vmware.com portal.
• Navigate to the SDDC tab and identify the SDDC where HCX needs to be deployed.
• In the SDDC panel, click "Deploy HCX" and then click "Confirm" to initiate the deployment.
