HCX - NE Unstretch Network Workflow failed Error: JSONObject["resourceId"] not found

Issue/Introduction

HCX Network Extension un-stretch workflow will fail with the following error:

Cause

This specific condition can be seen in those instances where default gateway IP address is wrongly specified on Network Extension wizard while performing stretch for a given segment.
In that situation, the Unextend operation fails because the extension does not really exist due to the wrong parameter.

Resolution

This is a basic usage issue and user is suggested to select correct host address as a default gateway IP from a given network address.
HCX future release will handle such user error.

Workaround:
Open a Service Request with VMware Global Support Services  with the Broadcom Support and include the required information to work on remediation.

Additional Information

Impact/Risks:
This issue only impacts un-extend and re-extend of a given segment which wasn't really extended in the first place.
However, it won't impact existing stretched segments.
There will be NO impact to migration workflow.
