Question:

I am having problems doing MRO in CICS from a CA ACF2 region to non-CA ACF2 region.  I get various errors such as AXFW abends.

Answer:

Doing MRO between CICS regions take special control blocks to be passed so that important information is sent properly.  In the CA ACF2 for CICS parameters, there is a section for MRO.  The default format is FORMAT=ACF2.  This only works for CA ACF2 to CA ACF2 regions.  If you are doing MRO to a CA Top Secret or IBM RACF region, then you need to set the parameter to FORMAT=CICS.
